Explomar - Outboard with plenty of power!
Explomar from China introduces a range of electric outboard motors for planing boats, characterized by various models and power ratings, including 70 HP, 150 HP, and 300 HP, with the option for dual motorization.
The 70 HP variant has a continuous power output of 40 kW, while the 150 HP and 300 HP variants offer 100 kW and 150 kW respectively; the maximum speed can reach up to 90 km/h.
Also surprising is the price of the motors, which is 20-30% cheaper compared to other manufacturers, resulting in significant savings for end customers.
EPropulsion eLite long shaft
One of the most exciting new products for 2025 is the ePropulsion eLite, which was our best-selling motor with an integrated battery in 2024. Weighing only 7.7 kg, it is ideal for small inflatable boats and offers a runtime of 1-2 hours, depending on the driving style.
Starting in April, there will also be a long shaft for sailboats and motorboats with a higher transom, which is height-adjustable. The eLite with 500 W (1.5 HP) is perfect for sailing dinghies up to 500 kg, and with the 750W boost function, it can even be used as a light wind propeller for boats up to 750 kg.
The motor is now available for order in the shop, with an expected delivery time starting from April/May.
Remigo - new in our range
New in our range is the electric outboard motor from Remigo, the first outboard motor designed like an oar, offering the advantage of better maneuverability.
With a total weight of only 12 kg including the battery and a 2.5 kg mount, it is easy to install and suitable for both inflatable boats and sailing boats due to the height-adjustable shaft.
The flexible use of the shaft allows the motor to be utilized on both types of boats, which is well thought out. From 2025, there will also be a model with integrated remote control.
Tohatsu Alaris 6.0
The Tohatsu Alaris 6.0 is a new electric outboard from a renowned manufacturer and impresses with its high-quality workmanship. Notable is the 5-blade propeller, which shows how different the designs of electric and gasoline engines are, as there are no uniform standards for electric ones.
The Alaris 6.0 has an input power of 6 kW and is equipped with the latest technology, including an integrated GPS and a 3-inch display. According to the first videos, the Alaris 6.0 is capable of efficiently getting light console boats on plane - this could be a real game changer!
Ilmor ION 6 from the USA
Ilmor, a leading US manufacturer of diesel engines, is now launching a 6 kW outboard motor, which was only presented as a concept at the boot last year.
According to the brochure, a top speed of nearly 24 km/h was achieved in a test with a Highfield inflatable boat, which is very good compared to many other manufacturers!
The design highlight of the engine is the striking LED strip, the legality of which in Germany is, however, questionable. More information will be provided on the website soon.
Mercury-Avator electric motors
We were able to take a first look at the complete Mercury Avator range, including the Avator 75e and 110e. Also on site were the 5.4 kWh battery modules. (they are surprisingly easy to transport)
Technically, both new models offer an integrated trim that elevates them to a whole different level of comfort compared to the competition. In the video, you will also see some clips from the last Mercury Dealer Meeting in Hamburg.
TEMO pod motors
We equip many sailboats with electric drives, as the range is less problematic here and electric motors offer numerous advantages. New on the market is the SEASIDE model series from TEMO, which pod motors have a power of 450 W, 1,500 W, and 3,000 W.
These pods are suitable for small sailing dinghies with a total weight of up to 500 kg, as well as for larger boats with up to 3 tons of displacement. TEMO offers suitable batteries with capacities of 290 Wh, 950 Wh, and 2,900 Wh.
Although the prices are not yet known, interested parties can contact us directly to obtain further details and check whether the motors are suitable for their sailboat.
Shall we meet at the next boot Düsseldorf?
