Funding for electric boats in Italy 💸

That depends entirely. Companies can apply for up to €50,000 in funding. If within the first 1-2 days, 60 companies submit an application for €50,000, the amount is immediately exhausted and the private boat owner gains nothing from the funding.

The grants are provided as non-repayable aid and cover up to 50% of the eligible costs. Individuals can apply for up to 8,000 euros, while companies can apply for up to 50,000 euros.

The grant for each individual electric outboard motor with an integrated battery of at least 0.5 kW to a maximum of 12 kW is 2,000 euros. For outboard motors with external batteries, inboard motors, hanging motors, or pod drives, the funding is 10,000 euros.

The funding measure aims to replace conventional combustion engines powered by fossil fuels with electric drives and to decommission the old engines.

A total of 3 million euros is available for this measure. An individual boat owner can acquire up to two electric motors. For companies that use recreational boats for commercial, sporting, or social purposes, this number increases.

The Ministry of Enterprises and 'Made in Italy' recently announced the details for submitting applications for funding in the recreational boating industry. From April 8th, 12 PM, to May 8th, 12 PM, funding applications can be submitted. Similar to the charging stations, the online application portal is operated by Invitalia.
