The Smart Gateway RS-485 to N2K (NMEA2000) is used to monitor the status information of the EVO drive systems from ePropulsion. The compact device is installed between the throttle and the motor.

This includes, among other things, gear status, motor clamp voltage, motor speed, battery temperature, state of charge (SOC), and speed over ground (SOG).

What interfaces are available?

The Smart Gateway features three RS485 interfaces and one CAN interface. The RS485 interfaces connect it to the 485 network of the drive system, while the CAN interface allows integration into the NMEA-2000 network.

The new Smart Gateway enables owners of ePropulsion Spirits, Navy, and Pod motors to seamlessly communicate with external multifunction displays (MFDs) via NMEA 2000. The first fully compatible displays are the Nextfour Q Experience and Raymarine devices, which offer comprehensive integration with the entire ePropulsion motor range.

The Smart Gateway is particularly user-friendly and easy to install. With a size of only 8.9 x 5 cm and a weight of just 140 grams, the compact device is installed between the throttle and the engine. An additional connection allows for linking to a display.

After integration with the Q Experience or Raymarine Axiom, information such as the battery state of charge (SOC) and the motor performance of the ePropulsion system is seamlessly displayed, providing users with an exceptional overview of the operational status.
