Range of the Elco EP-6 inboard engine
Travel time and range depend on the battery. In an example with a 4,000 kg boat and a 15 kWh battery, we have the following measurements:
✓ At full load, the battery lasts for 1.5 hours and the boat reaches a speed of 14 km/h. The range was 21 km.
✓ At 1/2 power (5.00W), the driving pleasure lasts for a 3-hour trip on the water at a marching speed of 11 km/h and a range of 33 km.
✓ Those who plan longer and more comfortable tours on the water can go much further with less power. At 1/5 of the power (2,000W), a speed of 8 km/h was reached for 7.5 hours. In total, a range of 60 km with just one battery charge.

Elco Dash App
The DASHmotor app from Elco turns any iOS or Android mobile device wirelessly into a fully functional dashboard. The free app is available in the Apple Store or Google Play Store with the optional Bluetooth interface.
The app displays speed in MPH, km/h or knots, as well as RPM and remaining battery charge both graphically and numerically, as well as volts, amps and watts. By calculating remaining battery life in hours and nautical miles, the DASH app helps find the most economical combination of speed and range.
The intuitive user interface of the DASH motor app with bold, colorful graphics quickly guides the owner through pairing with Elco motors and calculating battery capacity. A convenient warning appears when only 20% of battery life remains. If performance data is outside operating parameters, the electric motor app displays warning messages and sends a report to Elco for troubleshooting with the press of a button.
