Range of BlueSpin 11 kW Outboard

The BlueSpin 11 kW enables several hours of operation depending on the battery system used and power level. At moderate speed and partial load, the motor can typically operate efficiently over extended periods, while at maximum power the operating time decreases significantly. The effective range is therefore variable and is primarily determined by battery capacity, boat resistance, and driving style. In practical scenarios, the focus is less on a fixed kilometer specification and more on a predictable usage duration per charge, which, depending on the setup, ranges from short high-performance runs to several hours of emission-free cruising.

Special feature of BlueNav ring motors

The new propeller blades from BlueNav were inspired by the hydrodynamics of a whale's fin. The propeller blades do not end smoothly and round, but rather in the shape of a wave. Thanks to CFD simulation, BlueNav engineers were able to reduce the drag of the propeller blades.

On the outside of the motor and on the propeller blades there are grooves—these were modeled after the belly of a whale. These also demonstrably increase the efficiency of the motor.

The BlueNav software analyzes real-time data such as current, position, and speed, providing the captain with insights into energy consumption and tips for performance optimization.

The interface is already equipped with an autopilot and cruise control. The boat stays on course and ensures smooth and stress-free navigation.

In the future, an anchoring system and an autonomous navigation system are also planned. Additionally, an assistance system for anglers is intended to target the desired water depth, detect seagrass, and scan the bottom.
