Range of the Elco EP-50
Travel time and range depend on the battery. In an example with a 500 kg boat and a 2.5 kWh battery, we recorded the following measurements:
✓ At full power, the battery lasts just under an hour and the boat reached a speed of 12 km/h. The range was 10 km.
✓ At half power (1,500W), you can enjoy a 2-hour trip on the water at a cruising speed of 10 km/h and a range of 20 km.
✓ If you plan longer and more leisurely tours on the water, you can go much further with less power. At 1/6 power (500W), a speed of 7 km/h was achieved for 5 hours. This means a total range of 35 km with just one battery charge.

Special features of the Elco outboard motor
The DASHmotor app from Elco turns any iOS or Android mobile device wirelessly into a fully functional dashboard. The free app is available in the Apple Store or Google Play Store with the optional Bluetooth interface.
The app displays speed in MPH, km/h or knots, as well as RPM and remaining battery charge both graphically and numerically, as well as volts, amps and watts. By calculating remaining battery life in hours and nautical miles, the DASH app helps find the most economical combination of speed and range.
The intuitive user interface of the DASH motor app with bold, colorful graphics quickly guides the owner through pairing with Elco motors and calculating battery capacity. A convenient warning appears when only 20% of battery life remains. If performance data is outside operating parameters, the electric motor app displays warning messages and sends a report to Elco for troubleshooting with the press of a button.
