ExploMar Wave 70 with 40 kW power, suitable for light gliders up to 2,000 kg or heavy displacement boats up to 20,000 kg. The electric drive with remote control and long shaft from Explomar is comparable to a 70 PS petrol outboard motor.
The new Wave model has a gearbox and produces audible noise, but has low water resistance. In addition, the motors feature a whole range of improvements and features such as GPS or electric steering.

Range of ExploMar Wave 70 outboard
Travel time and range of the WAVE 70+ depend on the battery used and the boat load. In an example with a 6 m aluminum boat (total weight approx. 1,000 kg) and a 60 kWh battery (SI‑60), the following values result:
Full power 40 kW: The WAVE 70+ reaches a speed of approx. 36 km/h (22 mph) and allows for about 1 hour of travel time, which corresponds to a range of around 36 km.
Half power 20 kW: At a moderate speed of 15 km/h, 2 hours of fun are possible, with a range of approx. 30 km.
Light cruising 10 kW: At a relaxed speed of 12–13 km/h, the motor can be operated for up to 4 hours, resulting in a total range of around 50 km.
If you plan longer, leisurely tours, you can travel significantly further with lower power.
Additionally, the WAVE 70+ saves CO₂ emissions and fuel consumption per hour of operation, as it operates fully electrically.
Scope of delivery of ExploMar Wave 70
The WAVE 70+ electric outboard motor is delivered as a complete propulsion package. The scope of delivery includes the motor itself, the control system with control box, throttle/shift lever, as well as all necessary mounting and wiring materials.
An extensive operating and installation manual is also included.
Batteries, charger, or displays are available separately, allowing the system to be flexibly adapted to different boat types and requirements.

The SI‑60 battery pack delivers 60 kWh of energy, is waterproof (IP67), equipped with integrated cooling and heating management, and ensures stable, reliable performance all day on the water.
