TEMO 1000 - maximum security

The 1,000 watt motor easily propels dinghies with up to 6 people and cargo. Of course, the TEMO 1000 is also suitable for sailboats up to 8 m in length and approximately 1,000 kg displacement.

During forward motion, the thrust can reach up to 61 lbs. During reverse motion, slightly less thrust can be expected due to the propeller.

A dead man's switch provides protection against falling overboard, the engine stops immediately for safety.

The motor is completely waterproof - but not suitable for diving.

The low weight is mainly due to the small integrated battery with 740 Wh. The battery itself weighs only 5 kg. In our opinion, the TEMO 1000 is very suitable for tender boats and sailboats, which are already driven by the wind anyway.

With the retracted handle, the motor can be used with the existing rudder for sailboats. This saves space and provides more freedom of movement. On a dinghy, you can steer in the classic way with the tiller.

Technical features of TEMO 1000

The construction can also be fully tilted out of the water. This way the TEMO 1000 does not interfere with sailing.

The immersion depth is variable thanks to trim. Depending on the water depth and substrate, the structure can be raised by a few steps to avoid running aground in shallow water.

Thanks to the variable rail, the mounting point can be adjusted directly on the motor. In other words, the TEMO 1000 is suitable for both short and long shafts at the same time.

The attachment works with the help of a 360° bracket at the back of the boat. No complicated attachment or installation is required.

Range of the TEMO 1000
The TEMO 1000 has an integrated, very lightweight lithium-ion battery. The battery has a capacity of 740 Wh. At 1,000 W input power, the motor has a driving time of 40 minutes at maximum speed. At half load (500 W), it is 1 hour and 30 minutes. At quarter throttle (250 W), you can cruise around with the TEMO 1000 for a good 3 hours.
The charger is also included. The ~130 W charger can be used with any standard 230V socket. When the battery is empty, the charging time is about 5.5 hours. Of course, there will also be suitable replacement batteries available for the launch.
The manufacturer TEMO from France
TEMO has been developing electric propulsion solutions for the sports and outdoor industry for several years. TEMO's goal is to replace the classic and bulky outboard motor. The TEMO 450 is particularly suitable for dinghies. The TEMO 1000, on the other hand, is more suitable for slightly heavier cabin and sailing boats, as well as dinghies with more people.
TEMO features a unique motor design with an integrated battery. The light weight of the motors is certainly the most striking feature. It is a truly pleasantly portable solution at a technically flawless level.
Control of the TEMO 1000
The control of the TEMO 1000 is actually very classic and intuitive - just like with other outboard motors in this category. The setup is, in our opinion, a bit easier, since the tiller is only pulled out after mounting it on the transom and is not already mounted.
