The OUTPOD™ system features a minimalist mechanical design that relieves the stern and simplifies everyday life on board. The completely external, easily removable unit can be detached in seconds for storage or maintenance. Thanks to the height-adjustable shaft, the motor can be lifted as soon as the sail takes over – this reduces drag and protects against corrosion when anchoring.

Additionally, the 180° rotatable shaft enables precise maneuvers and efficient hydrogeneration.

The OUTPOD™ is lightweight, handy, and can be installed in just a few minutes. Thanks to the external rail, it can be mounted or dismounted without special tools, making it easy to store or maintain.

Unlike conventional pods, it does not require drilling into the hull, making it ideal for small sailboats with a narrow stern or small transom. This plug-&-play approach protects the integrity of the boat while providing a powerful, always-accessible motor.

The OUTPOD™ combines the precise control of a 48V pod (remote control, display, custom battery) with the easy installation of an outboard motor. The remote-controlled architecture optimally distributes the weight in the boat and protects the battery and wiring from UV radiation, water, and salty air – for high reliability and long service life.

Two flexible options are available for power supply: the 2.3 kWh TEMO battery cassette with autoconnect racks or a stationary Powertech battery. Additionally, the motor can be lifted horizontally or rotated 180° to minimize air resistance and optimize hydrogen generation according to driving conditions.

Behind the well-thought-out design lies robust, high-performance technology: The engine block is designed for high durability, resists overheating and wear, and delivers up to 67 kg of static thrust (5 HP). A reliable seal reduces maintenance effort, while the cable protected against prolonged immersion provides additional safety.

The direct drive transmits power directly to the propeller without gearbox losses, thus increasing efficiency. Thanks to the sliding mast, the engine block can also be easily lifted, preventing corrosion during operation.
