Highly efficient thanks to a hubless, permanent magnet excite the electric motor.
Virtually maintenance-free, as neither seals nor lubricants are used.
Individual programming of all parameters via software possible.
The motors can even be used in great water depths because the rotor and stator are cast in a vacuum and are pressure neutral.
Recuperation during, sailing, or standing still in the water is possible. The batteries recharge during fast sailing.
The drives can be operated in a wide voltage range.

Information on the e-drive from FMT Kempen

The special feature of boat drives is that they do not have a standard propeller shaft. The propeller blades are guided on the outside of the rotor, the design corresponds to a ring. This has the advantage that nothing can get caught in a shaft and in case of damage, the propeller blades can be replaced individually.

FMT works exclusively with high-quality displays and elements for control systems from the marine sector. The displays are a little more expensive, but thanks to the easier handling and the great look they are worth every cent.

FMT Kempen recommends LiFePO4 batteries for the use of electric drives. Lithium batteries offer the advantage of low weight, high cycle stability (usually 3,000 charging cycles at 80% discharge) and high energy density.
