The pod motor is permanently mounted under the sailboat. The TEMO Pod 3000 is suitable for boats up to approx. 3,000 kg displacement.

TEMO SEASIDE model series - maximum safety

During forward motion, the thrust is up to 132 lbs. When moving backward, slightly less thrust is to be expected due to the propeller.
The 3,000 watt motor easily powers sailboats up to 8 m in length and approximately 3,000 kg displacement – depending on the cruising area and boat.
The motor is completely waterproof according to protection class IP68.

TEMO Pod 3000 - high comfort

The low weight is mainly due to the lightweight lithium battery. The battery has a minimum capacity of 2.5 kWh. In our opinion, the TEMO 3000 Pod is very suitable for small sailing dinghies and also for decent sailboats in inland areas.
Light weight of 14 kg for motor plus the battery - ultra-compact and also a quick installation is possible
The rudder of the boat is used as usual for steering the sailboat.
There will be versatile optional accessories in the future: 2 different control displays to choose from (with or without screen and remote control)
The installation on the sailboat should be carried out by a boat builder for safety.

The SEASIDE series has high efficiency thanks to Hairpin technology combined with the highest standards in sealing
All pods of the SEASIDE series are compatible with solar energy.
TEMO pod motors are available as part of an open system, allowing for great flexibility in installation.
The entire SEASIDE series is equipped with a ceramic shaft seal, achieving protection class IP68 without gaskets. This seal also gives the motor a longer shaft durability and better efficiency.
This system requires only minimal annual motor maintenance compared to conventional seals, which need to be replaced every 3 to 4 years. The mechanical seal is an advanced, durable, and high-performance technological process.

Range of the TEMO 3000

The TEMO 3000 has a very lightweight lithium-ion battery with at least 2.5 kWh. Optionally, this can be expanded to more than 4 pieces. The driving time and range always depend on the boat, weight, and driving area:

→ With 3,000 W input power, the motor thus has a driving time of 50 minutes at maximum speed. The target speed is up to 7 knots.

→ At half load (1500 W), it is 1 hour and 40 minutes.

→ At quarter throttle (500 W), you can still cruise around for a good 5 hours with the TEMO 3000.

TEMO has been developing electric drive solutions for the sports and outdoor industry for several years. TEMO's goal is to replace the classic and cumbersome outboard motor. The TEMO 450 is particularly suitable for dinghies. The TEMO 1000, on the other hand, is more suitable for somewhat heavier cabin and sailing boats, as well as dinghies with more people.

Batteries for the TEMO Pod 3000

The modular battery system allows you to conveniently take your batteries with you and also charge them at home using a regular household outlet. This way, you don't have to constantly connect your boat to the outlet after sailing - especially advantageous if you don't have power at the harbor.

The TEMO 3000 Pod can be operated with a modular system that includes up to 4 batteries, with capacities ranging from 2,500 Wh to 11,600 Wh. TEMO has developed a state-of-the-art charging and discharging system that provides different modes and scenarios for various needs.

For example, you have the option to discharge only one battery from the entire package during an outing, which minimizes the number of batteries to be discharged.

Control of the TEMO 3000 POD

The control of the TEMO 3000 POD is somewhat unusual at first glance. There is a control element with a small wheel to adjust the speed. The design is very minimalist and can definitely be an advantage for sailboats.
