The motor with remote control from ePropulsion is compatible with all 48 V ePropulsion batteries and can also be used with third-party batteries (e.g. Ultimatron). Comparable to a 10 HP gasoline engine. The remote control features an onboard computer with display and GPS. The special feature of the EVO is the recuperation.

The ePropulsion Pod 6.0 EVO is currently simply the pod motor with the most balanced price-performance ratio for motors and batteries. The installation and commissioning went smoothly.
We had bad experiences with other manufacturers and therefore switched. Ideally, our boat would have a more stylish and functional display. We have integrated a multifunctional touch display via shunt.

Saildrive conversion for sailing boats

The control is possible thanks to the comfortable remote control forward and backward. The communication takes place via an integrated 3.5 inch compact module.

Stepless control of the speed using the wireless Bluetooth control. A single press is enough to start the electric motor.

The control is not included in the delivery. You have the choice between a top gas lever including display and a side-mounted variant with a separate display.

The installation should be carried out by a professional.
6.0 EVO as Saildrive - Technology

Very quiet - under 60dB! The electric motor is therefore significantly quieter than combustion engines.

Thanks to the high efficiency of the high-quality, brushless DC motor, the motor achieves an overall efficiency of 50%.

Maintenance-free for life. The drives are designed for continuous use underwater. Only the anodes need to be checked annually.

If necessary, a folding propeller can be used. Regeneration only works with the standard propeller and with the ePropulsion E-series batteries.
EPropulsion 6.0 EVO pod motor - battery range
Travel time and range primarily depend on the boat (weight and length) and the battery. In combination with an E175 battery with a total of ~ 9 kWh, we achieved the following speeds and ranges in tests with a 30-foot sailboat:
Under full load with the ePropulsion Pod 6.0 EVO, the batteries last about 1.5 hours in operation. In tests at 12.9 km/h, a range of 19.2 km can be achieved.
At half load of 3 kW, we could travel a total of 3 hours. Speed of 10.5 km/h and about 31 km range.
For those planning longer and more leisurely trips on the water, less power allows for significantly greater distances. At partial load (1,000 W), a single battery charge lasts around 9 hours. With the E175, a range of ~70 km is realistic.
For the Pod 6.0 EVO, we recommend the following batteries:

Battery of the ePropulsion Pod 6.0 EVO
Thanks to the uniform voltage of 48V, you can easily take your desired battery on board. This allows batteries to be connected in parallel and combined. Please pay attention to our notes on the batteries used and ensure there is enough storage space.
The lithium-ion battery can also be quickly made operational again depending on the charger. The charger should be chosen based on the desired battery size. We are happy to assist you here in our free telephone consultation or with our digital advisor.
