Riptide Transom 112 - Comfortable boat drive

Minn Kota engines are not entirely maintenance-free. From time to time the carbon brushes and the sacrificial anodes have to be replaced.
Tiltable tiller. The tiller can be tilted 45° upwards or downwards for better control. Maneuvering in a standing position or with a high tail in a sitting position is much easier, as is transportation.
Including battery indicator on motor: Switch off the motor, wait briefly and press button. Now you can see the charge level of your battery.

Digital Maximizer" function - Up to 5x longer range at reduced speed. Power consumption is minimized compared to other models with switching stages and in some cases extends the range enormously.
The models require less maintenance in saltwater than all other models. The screws are made of stainless steel and the zinc anode protects against electrolysis in saltwater. The electronics are also embedded in an insulating compound to protect against corrosion.
Stepless speed control: By precisely controlling the speed, the Riptide Transom provides better control over the boat.
Instead of the 5 forward gears or the 3 reverse gears, the continuously variable control leads to higher efficiency and lower power consumption.

The motors without Switch Control (SC) have all the features of the C2 plus the "Digital Maximizer" and the infinitely variable speed control. This model series is suitable for beginners in e-mobility on the water who value higher quality. Very reliable and durable at an attractive price.

Battery for the Riptide Transom 112

For the Minn Kota electric motors, we recommend AGM batteries, which have DeepCycle technology, i.e. can be discharged comparatively deep. Ordinary car and lead-acid batteries are not or only slightly suitable for the continuous operation of an electric motor. Here it is better to spend one euro more than to have to buy a new battery in the second season.

If you are on the road a lot, you might even want to consider a high-quality lithium-ion battery. These are significantly lighter, smaller and more durable than AGM batteries, but also more expensive. It is best to use only lithium batteries that have already proven themselves in combination with Minn Kota electric motors.
