EZ-Inboards motors are fundamentally suitable for use in saltwater.

The IB10 inboard engine from EZ-Outboards is suitable for motorboats and sailboats with a displacement of up to approximately 2,500 kg, and as a calm weather auxiliary even up to 3,000 kg displacement.

5 kW motor and controller are air-cooled and have a large number of fins for heat dissipation.

Optional with water cooling (on request, a commercially available pump such as from VETUS is required)

The outboard motors do not have a display on the engine. We recommend a display on the battery anyway, or a battery with Bluetooth, its own display, or a Victron measurement shunt.

App for EZ-Outboards
There is also a suitable app for the EZ-Inboard motors, which can be paired with the motor via Bluetooth from your phone. The app is available for free in the app store (Android and iPhone). If you use batteries from Golden Motors, the capacity/voltage can also be displayed.
Thanks to the phone, GPS can be used and you can see the current speed in the app. In addition, you can see the current data of the motor: RPM, current power (amperes), driving mode (Sport, Normal or Eco), and the current temperature of the motor.

EZ-Outboards (Golden Motors) is a Chinese manufacturer that has brought a range of electric outboard and inboard motors to the market in recent years. Affordable prices and a solid price-performance ratio characterize the EZ inboard motors.
There are a total of 2 models in the IB series: The IB10 with 5 kW (10 hp), the EZ-X10, and with 8 kW (15 hp). From a technical perspective, the motors cannot compete with WaterWorld or VETUS—especially when it comes to display and connectivity.
In our opinion, the EZ inboard motors should primarily be used on inland waters and by occasional users; the motors are particularly well suited for sailboats.

Batteries for EZ inboard motor with 5 kW
For the EZ-Outboards X-10 with a capacity of up to 110 A, we recommend affordable lithium iron phosphate batteries (for displacement boats) and very lightweight lithium-ion batteries for inflatable boats and light motorboats. Every kilogram ultimately affects the maximum speed.
For lithium iron phosphate batteries, we use batteries from Ultimatron or our own brand. The Lithimo battery cases are also interesting. Under "Assemble package" you will find the suitable batteries.
