Range of the Ilmor ION 6
Travel time and range depend on the boat and the battery. In an example with the Ilmor Ion 6.0 and the Ultimatron 48V 100Ah 5000 battery, we have the following measurements for a small Highfield inflatable boat:
→ Under full load, the battery lasts about 45 minutes. The maximum measured speed was around 23.5 km/h (12.5 knots). Within this short time, a range of 18 kilometers could be covered. (10 nautical miles).
→ If you plan longer and more leisurely trips on the water, you can actually go much further with less power. At 1 kW (1/6) of the power, a speed of 8 km/h (4.3 knots) was achieved for 5 hours. In total, this means a range of 40 km (21.5 nautical miles). And that with just one battery charge!
