The idea for Torqeedo was born on Lake Starnberg because of bans on boats with combustion engines. Since then, Torqeedo has developed into the largest manufacturer of electric boat engines.

Thanks to lean production and a large number of units, prices are in the lower range. Only a few manufacturers are still cheaper. Especially for private customers, Torqeedo offers a very good price-performance ratio. In addition, there is a huge dealer network in Germany.

At Torqeedo, special emphasis is placed on easy handling and safety. Electromobility on the water is also ideally suited for beginners to boating.

The engines and batteries are highly efficient and feature technical refinements such as the integrated onboard system. The manufacturer Torqeedo covers everything from the Ultralight 403 for kayaks to 140 HP motors for yachts, pod motors for sailing boats or hybrid systems.

The company is responsible for many innovations within the industry, such as the battery of the BMW i3 electric car, which was made seaworthy in cooperation with BMW.

Recently, Torqeedo has also added several models of direct-drive electric boat motors to its product range, which promise silent driving pleasure.
