The prices of VETUS are in the good midfield. The electric drives are supplied as a complete package with all important components. More than 20 years of experience in the field of boat motors have gone into the product development. The product design and appearance are also impressive.

The acceleration of the VETUS drives is more powerful and faster than with a diesel engine. A gearbox and a clutch are not required, which has a direct positive effect on performance.

Stopping is much faster, as the direction of rotation of the propeller can be changed directly. The VETUS motors function more or less like an electric brake. In tests, the boat could be stopped within one boat length.

VETUS has patented several protective functions for its motors. These include the motor controller, which ensures that the charge level of the batteries is overgrown. All important information can then be displayed on the monitoring panel. There is also an LED display and even acoustic signals.

With a conventional displacer of 6 metres (1.1 tonnes), we measured the following characteristic values:
- Energy consumption 0.7 kW at a speed of 6 km/h (3.3 knots)
- Energy consumption 2.1 kW at a speed of 8.8 km/h (4.7 knots)
- Energy consumption 4.1 kW at a speed of 11 km/h (5.9 knots)

A slight reduction in average speeds increases the possible range exponentially.
